As an initiative of @gooddeedsday National Service Scheme (Technical Cell - Kozhikode) had collaborated with Captains Social Foundation to organise - Mega Beach Cleaning & Anti-Plastic Awareness Campaign on April 2, 2022 at Kozhikode Beach
The campaign was inaugurated by Kozhikode District Collector, Dr.Thej Lohith Reddy IAS. Around 120+ volunteers from National Service Scheme units of various polytechnic colleges of kozhikode had participated in the beach cleanup campaign.
The campaign begins with an awareness flashmob by volunteers; followed by beach cleaning in which volunteers collected 3 metric ton wastes and disposed. As part of plastic free awareness, paper bags made by volunteers were distributed to public.
