INJUSTICE

The injustice addressed is the Mensrual hygiene Management in the rural areas


WHO & HOW

This injustice affects the women and adolescent girls in the menstruating age group and it is important to address this injustice as despite it being an important issue,there are very limited evidences of MHM in rural areas.


WHY

The causes of this injustice could be attributed to a number of practices such as cultural norms, parental influence, personal preference, economic status, socioeconomic pressures , availability of resources, education status and knowledge about menstruation. This injustice persists to continue due to lack of address all of this issue in the rural areas.


ROOT CAUSES

The root cause of this injustice are unequal access to knowledge and information, unequal access to safe menstrual absorbents, lack of societal, community , family and individual awareness .


COMPASSIONATE INSIGHT

To overcome the injustice of poor MHM in the rural areas of the state, I will address the unequal access of resources and knowledge by creating awareness, education and by distributing reusable sanitary absorbents.


GOALS

  • To create awareness among adolescent girls and women on menstrual hygiene and thereby empower the young women.

  • To develop a feasible menstrual hygiene management system.

  • To develop one’s Individual knowledge, material environment and social environment.

  • To educate the rural people about their right to access to resources.
