I am Palakh Khanna, an 18-year-old individual who has been working with an organization called Instilt Educate, an NGO working towards bettering the lives of young children and leveling the playing field, between children who come from more fortunate backgrounds, and those who don't have the same privilege, one class at a time. We provide free, quality tutoring to underprivileged children to help them come out of their web of poverty and rise and actually make a mark on this world, with no privileges attached! And, as a Tutor at Instilt Educate, I believe in the motto of creating an enlightened youth through education and awareness and mastering English. However, while I was working with Instilt, I realized, that the so-called privileged society is not happy and that is when I starting mentoring Optiverse which is a student-led, non-profit organization on a mission to build an Optimistic Global Community for students by students. I work with a large team of more than 150 members from 15+countries. Through both these organizations, I wish to help both the underprivileged as well as the better off~
Along with that, as an environmentalist, I am also the Global Ambassador for Global Conscience World where we believe that our actions can make an impact and we make individuals aware about how they can practically help in saving the environment at the global level. Ultimately, all the 3 organizations narrow down to a similar motto of “Together, We Can” and I am a strong believer in that! Thank you!

Volunteering is taking action to change someone's life and I firmly believe that it can transform a person's future for the best. I love to volunteer because I believe that my actions may change someone's life, bring them out of poverty or disability and actually allow them to live a better life.
VOLUNTEERING STORY
It begun with the school volunteering programme, where we taught a single child and helped them to grow in life. After this, I joined Instilt and I started teaching a group of children. The joy this gave me motivated me to join Optiverse because I felt that social work not only includes the poor but also the other parts of the society and with Optiverse, we started improving the lives of the better off.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Utilizing Zoom as our primary learning interface, we facilitate an interactive and comfortable environment where students can communicate, collaborate, and inquire effectively, complementing the continuous interaction outside of class through Whatsapp. In an effort to grow and deepen the understanding of our students, we use a unique model. For our faculty, we pair up one native English speaker with another tutor proficient in the language of the students. This way students are able to enjoy the best of both worlds as they are pushed to communicate seamlessly with a qualified tutor who speaks English in their day-to-day allowing them some great outside exposure. At the same time, the other tutor is always to ensure that the students are following, maintaining a comfortable and familiar environment for the children. As part of our teaching curriculum, we strive to incorporate all content into engaging application-based activities designed to strengthen and enhance the students’ knowledge.To ensure the success of the students, we have constructed an incredibly flexible curriculum, adaptable approach, and action-packed lessons suited to meet the needs of the students – always. Our team works diligently to create comprehensive lesson plans inclusive of content inspired by reputed sources: Indian Boards (CBSE), American Schooling Systems, Khan Academy, etc.

ROLE IN PROJECT
As a tutor at Instilt, I strive to provide the students all they require to develop and enhance their knowledge. We interact in class, we have interacted outside class, they have reached out to me on different topics ranging from school work, personal life to personal problems. I believe being a part of this organization has not only helped them learn more but also come out of their shell and develop more.

FUTURE PLANS
I would love to continue to be a global ambassador for Global Conscience World as well as a tutor at Instilt Educate. Yes, definitely. Working with these organizations would be such a great thing and an honour actually.
