EveryIndianVolunteering

#EveryIndianVolunteering campaign aims to promote volunteerism and empower youth through Youth Engagement, Community Empowerment and Capacity Development. Our mission is to enable youth to engage in the community, empowers them to enhance their capacity, and encourages them to create and lead social initiatives.


Being a part of the campaign a youth should engage atleast 8 hours a month for community development initiatives. We are introducing a unique volunteer tracking platform to appreciate, reward and accredit volunteers for their commitment towards creating a just and peaceful world.


By 2025, we aim to Encourage, Empower, Enable, Engage and Enhance 2.5 Lakh Youth to Volunteer for Community Development initiatives


Objectives:

  • To promote volunteerism among youth of India

  • To enable youth to be an active global citizen

  • To enhance the skills, values, and knowledge of youth

  • To empower the capacity, potential, and creativity of youth

  • To engage the youth in the community development and empowerment

  • To encourage youth-led social initiatives to solve problems in their community

  • To create a unique volunteer tracking platform

  • To appreciate, reward and accredit volunteers

  • To develop compassionate, courageous & collaborative youth leadership

  • To create and support impactful youth-led social initiatives to bring sustainable social changes in the community.

  • To incubate ideas, evaluate solutions & act as a support system to enhance the growth and impact of initiatives by youth.

  • To invest in youth by providing tools, resources, skills, networks, funding, and opportunities.

  • To promote and share the stories and impact of youth initiatives on the world.

  • To bridge the gap between youth, community, and opportunities

  • To identify injustices in the communities, understand systems of power and root causes of injustice, develop compassionate solutions to address injustice, and turn the ideas and thoughts into actions through a specific and measurable action plan.



How to Engage:

  • Any individual, organisation or institute can collaborate & partner in the campaign

  • Youth will be provided with Capacity Development Training sessions

  • Youth should engage at least 8 hrs/month in any volunteering activity

  • Youth can undertake any initiatives based on their skills & field of interest

  • Youth can Log In & create their own personalised website (volunteer profile) on Volunteer Tracking Platform

  • Youth should upload details of their initiatives like number of volunteers, volunteering hours, beneficiaries etc on the platform

  • The platform admin will review the initiatives and provide certificate for each initiative

  • Certificates and rewards will also be provided based on the milestones they reach considering the number of initiatives, volunteers, volunteering hours etc.

  • Youth will be provided National Volunteer Accreditation Certificate every year based on their commitment towards the society.

  • The top performing youth will also be awarded with Young Changemakers Awards every year on International Volunteers Day (December 5)

Milestones:

Youth will be appreciated based on the milestones they reach in terms of number of initiatives, volunteers and volunteers hours (Any two of the above)

  • Volunteer: A youth can register online on #EveryIndianVolunteering campaign to join us as aVolunteer

  • The Official Volunteer: A youth who had engaged in 8 hours of volunteering or participated in one social initiative will be recognised asThe Official Volunteer

  • The Social Volunteer: A youth who had engaged in 24 hours of volunteering (3 initiatives) or had coordinated 1 initiative will be recognised as The Social Volunteer

  • The Social Captain: A youth who had engaged in 100 hours of volunteering (10 initiatives) or had coordinated 5 initiative will be recognised as The Social Captain

  • The Youth Champion: A youth who had engaged in 250 hours of volunteering (25 initiatives) or had coordinated 10 initiatives will be recognised as The Youth Champion

  • The Youth Ambassador: A youth who had engaged in 500 hours of volunteering (50 initiatives) or had coordinated 25 initiatives will be recognised as The Youth Ambassador

  • The Executive Member: A youth who had engaged in 1000 hours of volunteering (100 initiatives) or had coordinated 50 initiatives will be recognised as The Executive Member

  • The Co-creator: A youth who had engaged in 2500 hours of volunteering (250 initiatives) or had coordinated 100 initiatives will be recognised as The Co-creator

Rewards:

Youth will be rewarded with Certificate, Badge, T-Shirt, Free Workshop or Hackathon or Camp, Funding or Fundraising assistance etc based on the milestones they reach.

Certificate:

Youth will be provided with certificate based on

  • Each initiative they participate (Certificate of Volunteering)

  • Each milestone they reach (Certificate of Appreciation)

  • Overall performance in each year (National Volunteer Accreditation Certificate)

Awards:

Youth will be awarded with Young Changemakers Award in different categories level, based on the number of initiatives, volunteer and volunteering hours

  • Best Volunteer from each partner institution

  • Best Volunteer from each partner organisation

  • Best Volunteer from each district

  • Best Volunteer from each state

  • Best National Volunteer

Background:

The initiative #EveryIndianVolunteering is designed by Captains Social Foundation. It is a part of eiVolve Incubator Program by India Welfare Trust supported by top social organisations in India like Bhumi, iVolunteer, U&1, Milaap, Donatekart, Give India, The/Nudge Institute, eVidyalok, Mentor Together, Better India, Reap Benifit, Mitti Cafe, Governence Counts, Platform Commons etc.

Captains Social Foundation is a youth-led Non-Profit Organisation, working with an objective of creating young changemakers and empowering youth initiatives. We are on a mission to promote volunteerism through Capacity Development Community Empowerment and Youth Engagement.

World Tourism Day Initiatives 2022

We had collaborated with Kerala Tourism Department, Kerala Tourism Club, District Tourism Promotion Council, Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission and in association with DV Volunteers to organise a series of volunteering activities across all districts of Kerala as a part of World Tourism Day 2022. Around 1200+ volunteers had participated in various initiatives including CleanUp drive, Flash Mob, Gratitude Stone etc

Our volunteers in Kozhikode in collaboration with Streets of Calicut had organised a streetwalk with cleaning activities - Plogging on August 15, 2022 at South Beach, Kozhikode from 6:30 AM to 10 AM. Around 15+ volunteers had participated in the event.

Book Donation Drive

Book Donation Drive

Reema S, District Program Coordinator of Captains Social Foundation had organised her first volunteering activity - Book Collection Drive (collection of children's books and magazines) in collaboration with Tarang GCEB from August 1 to 4, at Thiruvananthapuram.

They also conducted a fundraising campaign to provide goodies for the students of Govt. H S L P School, Pappanamcode. The program aimed at setting a small class library and also to engage them tin activities like reciting, singing, dancing, colouring, reading etc.
